What We Believe

Plain talk is easy to understand, so we will give a quick summary
of our stand as a church:

  • We are an Independent Baptist Church, that is completely
dependent on the leadership of the Holy Spirit, and the Holy
Scriptures. (By Scriptures we mean the King James Bible. We not
only prefer and use the KJV, we believe it! We believe that it is
God's Word for the English-speaking people. We accept no other
    translation, nor those who do.)

  • We strive to honor God with our services, in everything from music
to the message. Therefore, you will find nothing contemporary.  By
God's Grace, the church has been walking the old paths since 1882, with
    no plans for detouring.

  • Our Pastor and every man that stands in the pulpit, has only one
living wife, and we do not mean one at a time. If this makes us a
little old-fashioned in your book, we are guilty as charged.

  • We are not here to impress the brethren; we are here to win souls
    and worship the Savior.

  • We are not a programmed church. We do believe in orderly
service, but we desire for God to direct our hearts in worship.

  • We still believe that preaching is the Hope of America, and we are
actively engaged in that work week after week.

So, if you are looking for a church home, stop by and visit with us. You
will find a warm welcome!

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a free gift from God by grace through faith to those who choose to acknowledge their sin and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The bible is very clear when it states in John 3:3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. "

You Can Be Saved and KNOW It:
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son
of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may
believe on the name of the Son of God." 1 John 5:13

1. Realize all have sinned

"As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one." Romans 3:10

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

2.Realize there is a payment for sin

"For the wages of sin is death;" Romans 6:23
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable,
and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and
idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake
which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the
second death." Revelation 21:8

3.Realize the Lord Jesus died to
pay for all your sins

"But God commendeth His love toward
us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

4. Realize you must trust the Lord
Jesus as Savior for your sins

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9

Without shedding of blood is no remission.  Hebrew 9:22

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Eph 1:7

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but
according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of
regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which
he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our
Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be
made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus3:5-7

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that
which was lost. Luke 19:10

Except a man be born again, he cannot see the
kingdom of God.  John 3:3

I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to
repentance.  Mark 2:17

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never
perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my
hand.  John 10:28
